AUXILIARY
These are temporary members of the clan, who either prove themselves
worthy of the Circle of Fire or fail and leave its ranks.
Maximum Number: Unlimited
Requirements:
- Shows proper attitude and spirit of the
Circle.
- Has met the approval of the High Council
and the clan as a whole.
- Has passed the induction interview
held by at least one Officer who is aided by a second Officer,
or Preceptor.
Responsibilities:
- Work on and complete his character history
and reputation within 4 weeks of becoming an Auxiliary.
- Learn as much as possible of the ways
of the clan as set in the Clan Codex.
Taliesin Speaketh
- He who seeks to join the ranks of the Clan starts as an Auxiliary
helping the brethren and learning from them. He is the little cub
protected and sheltered by the pack- young and weak, he is nurtured
by his elders who aid and instruct him in the ways of the Clan.
Through his interaction he learns to accept and trust them, and
in so doing trust himself. He learns to hope- to believe that his
fervent wishes will be met. He learns to aspire to become a full
member of the clan and the great reward of his service is the admission
into the ranks of the Tribesmen. He does not vote in the General
Assembly of the Clan and does not have the Rights that his elders
enjoy, although he is still bound by the responsibilities. However,
the life is less hard and the discipline and training is less stringent
that that of the full Clansman.

TRIBESMAN
These are the new members of the clan who have completed their training
and have become full members of the clan. Their obligations are
simple as they are still discovering things about their new home
and comrades.
Maximum Number: Unlimited

them in to Kleothera, gets them approved.
- Has been a member of the Clan for two weeks.

least 30 minutes.

and defend her name when needed.
- Roleplay and interact with fellow clan members
whenever possible.
- Participate in clan events and be active
on the clan board.
- Report any unsolved problem to the
Warriors or Centurions (or Preceptor or Officer if no higher rank
is available).
Taliesin Speaketh
- He who shows the qualities that distinguish him as a worthy member
of the Clan is rewarded by being admitted in the ranks of the Tribesmen.
He learns to support the clan and learns from his elders through
observation and imitation. He learns what is expected of him, what
his obligations and privileges are along with what limitations are
placed upon him. His striving for new experiences places a dual
demand upon him- a demand for self control and the demand for the
acceptance of control from others. He learns to control his inherent,
natural chaotic urges and channel them for the welfare of the Clan.
He is encouraged to give free reign to his self- expression, for
it develops in him a sense of pride and the strength to make free
choices, to decide, to exercise self-restraint and to apply himself.
It is from the ranks of the Tribesmen that arise the priests, poets,
lawmakers, builders and master craftsmen that are the mainstay of
the Clan. Although not members of the elite warband, they share
in the ancient duty that all able-bodied members of the Tribe are
bound to arm themselves and serve to defend their Clan. Called upon
at times of emergency this citizen's army shall not fail in its
task. In addition to military duties, they can undertake any trade
at which they feel most competent. A Tribesman may work as a scribe
on the staff of his commanding officer, a healer, a musician who
maintains the morale of the troops or a merchant that keeps his
clansmen equipped.

WARRIOR
These experienced clan members' main job is to act as mentor and
guide the Tribesmen and Auxiliaries with daily issues. A Warrior
should always try to be a positive role model for the younger clan
members. In time of war the Warrior should be powerful both in mind
and body being able to not only direct his Tribesmen and Auxiliaries
but protect those above and below him as well.
Maximum Number: Unlimited

from actual roleplay, visible either during actual interaction
or on Lazy Inn/ Clan Note Board.

4 weeks.

the clan.

OR successfully implemented one.

for the next quest or socializing in OOC channel. Although there
is nothing wrong with those things, if that's all you are doing
you are not participating in a clan.
- Has passed the Warrior Interview held
by at least one Officer who is aided by a second Officer, Preceptor
or Centurion.
Responsibilities:
- They are to perform the same duties as the
Tribesmen as well as:
- Be well versed in all rules, regulations
and history of the clan, and be able to teach such things to those
of lower rank.
- Act as clan mentors by aiding and advising
as needed.
- Act as a roleplaying role model without
the need to be a roleplaying expert.
- Report any unsolved problem to the
Centurions or Preceptors (or Officer if no higher rank is available).
Taliesin Speaketh
- All Warriors are experienced fighters who continually practice
their trade, and are accustomed to living, training and fighting
together as one. Their laws and code of honor bond them to faithful
service to their Goddess, Pendragon, other officers, Preceptors
and to each other, even onto death. Dwarf and elf, mage and warrior
stand together- old rivalries forgotten- brothers under the sign
of the Flaming Torch; each ready to give up his life in the defense
of the Clan. To be accepted in their midst is a great honor, and
all newcomers swear loyalty to his brethren, and utter loyalty is
demanded and given in return for admittance. In the warrior, initiative
combines with autonomy to actively plan and pursue his goals. He
is eager to learn from his elders and strives to grow in the sense
of obligations and performance. His actions have purpose and he
acquires competence and pride in achievement.

Taliesin Speaketh
- He is his Preceptors' loyal lieutenant. Selected for his contribution,
his intelligence and the qualities of leadership; it is he who looks
after the needs of his Brethren in his absence. Raised from the
ranks of the Warriors, he is close to them and knows their needs
and aspirations. He is the voice of the Preceptors and acts as a
deputy in their absence. Having built a strong self-confidence and
sense of self, he is now prepared to unite it with others. He learns
to care for others, and develops the strengths necessary to fulfill
the commitments despite the sacrifices that he may need to make
to maintain these relationships.

PERCEPTOR
These staunch senior members are harnessing their leadership skills
as many of them will one day be officers themselves. They are also
prime factors in the role play and quests that take place within
the clan. A Preceptor who decides not to follow the call of commanding
might have the option of becoming a Lorekeeper instead (decision
made by the High Council).

rank and offer advice when needed.

the Warriors and inform the High Council of their findings (who
has final say).

by an immortal or officer.
- Attend and assist with the induction interviews
and ceremonies.
- Be ready to step in if an officer position
should become available.
- Report any unsolved problem to the
Officers.
Taliesin Speaketh
- He is the parent to those who have been put under his protection.
He is the strong wolf guarding his cubs- their mentor, friend, philosopher
and guide. Under his benevolent guidance the clansmen acquire the
virtues that make the clan unique. The love and care for others
is his greatest virtue, the well being of future generations his
main concern. His strength and wisdom is dedicated to the young
and weak, his sword to their defense. In return, the tribesmen owe
him loyalty and obedience, for in doing so they honor one who has
devoted his life to their help.

LOREKEEPER
These are the mortal heroes of the clan. Many are former leaders
who are now semi-retired from active duty or long term members who
have served the clan faithfully for years but have chosen not to
seek a command position within the clan. Lorekeepers are answerable
to officers only as they are above the non-officer chain-of-command.
Maximum Number: Unlimited
Requirements:
- Have served the clan as a dedicated, constructive
and interactive member for at least 6 months.
- Is deemed worthy to hold the rank by the
High Council.
- Qualifies for or holds the rank of Preceptor
or Officer.
Responsibilities:
- They are only to perform the same
duties as the Warriors.
Taliesin Speaketh
- He who has spent decades in loyal service and whose words of wisdom
and moderation have often swayed the opinion of the clan finds a
special place of respect. He joins the ranks of the Lorekeepers,
the wise members of the Council, who form the advisers of the Clan.
They are initiated into the deepest mysteries and possess all the
insights of the clan. Great is their ancient store of knowledge
for most have in their youth been officers in their own right, surrendering
their authority and power to the new generation. Even the Pendragon
would be well advised to consult them in the hour of need.
