Invasion of Aden
*A page that looks torn from a book of parchment is pinned here. * An army of mercenaries descended upon the city of Aden today, the day of Korion, 33rd in the Month of the Spring. Along with this army of crazed men was a high contingent of elder looking grey bearded men that walked with the stance of priests or perhaps magi. I only assume this as I did not see them use either spells or magics that are synonymous with these chosen professions. Upon hearing the call to arms (thanks to Cedrick) made haste to my home city and with a contingent of others, namely those the stand for good, we battled for some hours against the enemy host and at approximately 9pm succeeded in sending all of enemy to the grave. After the battle an informal meeting of us gathered at Temple to soothe wounds and heal. With the joining of all our experiences we believe we have gathered the following facts:
Maelstrom is believed to have had a deal with the mercenaries that went sour.
That either the gray bearded men were dark priests or magi.
That through the use of magic the army was projected into the city. I witnessed this myself while fighting when another warrior suddenly appeared.
As a strange side note the well that has sat west of the temple of Aden vanished for some 3 hours before miraculously returning, I am under the belief that perhaps it was the misfiring of concealment spell that caused this.
This is at present all I can recall, if more comes to mind I shall endeavor to put it forward.
